Cutting to the core

A chemical product with a clouded reputation will always lead to misguided perceptions. We helped ExxonMobil Chemical reassure a doubting audience that their main plasticizer product had been tested and passed in every domain as ‘safe for use’.
It required communication of clarity and confidence to create a convincing message that cut to the core. Circulated throughout Europe and Asia, ‘No red tape’ was a radical and thus highly effective interpretation of the usual position paper.

Shaping the plasticizers future

For 40 years the plasticizers industry has allowed us the flexibility to build a world as we want it. Aware of the advancement of new global markets, ExxonMobil Chemical, as sponsors of the European Plasticizers Symposium, saw a need for a new energy that would build on past successes and ensure future growth. We responded with comprehensive event branding, central to which was a morphing animation - irregular and unpredictable, representing the vulnerability of the European plasticizers industry. From tease campaigns to event collateral, we communicated the threat, but we also
ran a clear and positive business message.

The complete response

In Asia, over-information is commonplace, saturations of message confuse - hardly easy ground to launch a complicated product portfolio for the films and packaging industry. Creating a new identity that balances brave and forceful marketing with a conservative western brand took the challenge further still. Our creative response stripped down the collected complications and communicated the core business offer
in any language. Form, colour, and a clear distinction between individual product attributes answered the brief, winning the three-way pitch. In a highly competitive B2B environment, ExxonMobil Chemical Films for packaging have bright new visibility.

Clean, clear and safe

As one of ExxonMobil Chemical’s leading sectors in their product portfolio, the fluids business unit services markets in Europe, the Americas and Asia. Their portfolio offers a large range of raw material, grades and products to producers and manufacturers
of specialist fluids. Landmarks Amaze provided a strong rebranding of this prolific business unit, with a creative concept providing a message of clean, reliable, premium service and support. The branding was rolled out successfully in each market, across deliverables including sales brochures, events, website and internal tools, training and events.
