Levi’s Vintage Clothing is the heart and soul of the Levi’s brand. It revives and relives the original icons and meaningful eras of the Levi Strauss & Co. history. Working with a brand that has inspired generations, we have embraced the opportunity to help launch new collections. On the way, we rode the fairgrounds of Coney Island, built rail tracks through the dustbowls of Oklahoma and fought for peace at Berkeley Campus.
Crosstown bus to Santa Cruz
The Fall/Winter 2006 collection was our first introduction to the Levi’s Vintage Clothing brand. An eclectic collection of raw inspiration, from wall-of-death riders and other pioneers of extreme sports to Jim Phillips - the iconic surf and rock artist who’s work influenced a generation of young artists. We rode with LVC on a journey from The Doors first East coast appearance to the Santa Cruz skateboard factory in California. Along the way, we talked ‘crim-cut’ and ‘road rash’ for girls and ‘dust trophy’ and ‘hell-on-wheels’ for boys. We provided a route through the diversity and created a functional sell-in and reference tool for sales teams and retailers throughout Europe.
Front-line icons
Inspired by the birth of counter-culture and freedom of speech, the Levi’s Vintage Clothing Spring/Summer 2007 collection marched us through the difficult times of passionate protest. We centred our story around the icons that spoke for all - the painted flags on the front line, the promotional posters and the hastily prepared messages that created the bond and provided the path. Whether friends, fringe or world movement - we focused on those who fought for their thoughts and the marks that they left. This evocative thread provided the substance for a 48-page,
custom-bound line book.
